The 7th round of the 2024 Pro Motocross Outdoor Nationals took place in Millville, Minnesota at the Spring Creek Motocross Park. The Spring Creek National was an exciting round of racing. The weather became a factor as a storm came in right before the day’s final race. Fortunately, due to a schedule change, the 450cc premiere class missed the rain running as the first and third race of the day. The Twisted Tea H.E.P. Suzuki, presented by Progressive Insurance, put a solid round together with #12 Shane McElrath finishing in 11th overall and #11 Kyle Chisholm in 13th overall.
#12 Shane McElrath struggled out of the gate in the first moto but worked his way up the field, finishing just outside the top 15 in 16th place. He carried that momentum into the second moto, getting out to a good start, running up front the entire race, and finishing in 9th place. Going 16-9 in two motos McElrath finished 11th overall.
#11 Kyle Chisholm got a good jump off the gate first moto. He did not stop there, picking off two more positions before it was all said and done, finishing in 12th place. Backing it up in moto two, Kyle got another strong start rounding turn one again inside the top 15. As the race progressed, the Chiz worked his way into 10th place, but midway through the race, the previous week’s practice sessions, testing sessions, and Moto One began to take a tool as fatigue set in. The veteran lost a few positions, finishing the race in 16th place. Kyle went 12-16 and finished 13th overall.
Momentum continues to build for Chisholm and McElrath. Leaving Minnesota with a solid team result the Twisted Tea H.E.P. Suzuki presented by Progressive Insurance team heads to the Pacific Northwest. Washougal MX Park will play host to the 8th round of the 2024 Pro Motocross Outdoor Nationals. Live coverage of the race will be on Peacock TV. Starting with Race Day Live at 9:00 AM PST followed by first race of the day at 12:00 PM PST.
