Round 7 of the 2024 AMA Monster Energy Supercross series paid tribute to the armed forces, recognizing the different branches of military service. American pride was on full display as each team displayed a variety of military-inspired graphics. SKDA graphics created two unique looks for the Progressive Insurance ECSTAR Suzuki and the Twisted Tea HEP Suzuki team.
Ken Roczen was in contention all night, but in the early moments of the main event, coming out of the whoops, keeping his line on the inside, another rider to the left jumped into Roczen’s line, causing the #94 front end to collide into the rear tire of the other rider. Ken hit the floor and lost momentum, landing outside the top ten. He continued racing and quickly regained his momentum, fighting his way back inside the top ten before the checkered flag. He finished the day in 8th place.
SKDA Graphics, a partner of Pipes Motorsports Group whose product originates out of Australia, is always front and center with unique themed graphics for both the Progressive Insurance ECSTAR Suzuki and the Twisted Tea HEP Suzuki. Team graphics are available at https://us.skda.com.au/
#12 Twisted Tea HEP Suzuki rider Shane McElrath adds another consistent race to his resume. McElrath has been making progress, and it’s beginning to show. His starts in both his heat race and the main event were great. He rounded lap one of the main in 6th place. He ran in the top ten for the race’s early stages before eventually finishing in 15th place.
#11 Kyle Chisholm was off to a great start in his heat race and was running in 3rd place for the opening laps of the heat race. Unfortunately, with only a couple of laps remaining in the race, he hurt his knee when he extended his leg, rounding the sand section, causing severe knee pain and preventing him from holding onto his transfer position as he lost pace. Kyle did his best to rally in the LCQ, but after casing a jump hard in the opening laps, aggravating his knee injury, he was forced to call it a night.
The series heads to Daytona Beach, Florida, to the iconic Daytona International Speedway for the annual Daytona Supercross. Kicking off the start of Bike Week, the #94 Progressive ECSTAR Suzuki and the #11 & #12 Twisted Tea HEP Suzuki will be center stage on Saturday. You can catch all the action on PEACOCK TV. The first gate drop is at 4:00 PM PST, and Race Day Live coverage begins at 11:30 AM PST.
