COLT NICHOLS OPENS 2026 PRO MOTOCROSS SEASON WITH GRITTY FOX RACEWAY EFFORT

PALA, Calif. — The 2026 Pro Motocross Championship got underway Saturday at Fox Raceway, where Colt Nichols opened the outdoor season with a 19th-place overall finish after posting 20th- and 17th-place results in the day’s two motos.

“It was a humbling day,” said Colt Nichols. “I struggled to find comfort and didn’t ride as well as I needed to. I’ve got some work to do this week, and we’ll try again next weekend at Hangtown.”

“Round 1 of Pro Motocross is done and dusted,” said Team Principal Dustin Pipes. “Colt Nichols finished 19th overall. We need to work on starts and get the bike into a better window for him to achieve stronger results. We’ll go to work and shift our focus to Hangtown.”

Results Summary: Nichols finished 19th overall at Fox Raceway with moto scores of 20-17.

Next Round: Pro Motocross continues Saturday at the Hangtown Motocross Classic at Prairie City SVRA in Rancho Cordova, California. Coverage begins with Race Day Live at 10:00 a.m. PT on Peacock, followed by the first gate drop at 1:00 p.m. PT. For a closer look at the team, follow along on Instagram or like them on Facebook.
