#94 claims a hard-fought main event victory in challenging rain-soaked conditions; Nichols set to rebound in Denver
PHILADELPHIA, Pa. — Progressive Insurance/Cycle Gear ECSTAR Suzuki rider Ken Roczen earned the win Saturday night in Philadelphia during Round 15 of the 2026 AMA SuperMotocross World Championship series, overcoming worsening weather and some of the toughest track conditions of the season.
Supercross returned to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, with rain arriving throughout the day and turning the night show into a technical, rutted, and unpredictable race track.
Roczen delivered a strong performance aboard the No. 94 Progressive Insurance/Cycle Gear ECSTAR Suzuki, while teammate Colt Nichols was unable to transfer to the main event after a fall in both qualifying races. Nichols looks to rebound in Denver aboard his #45 Twisted Tea Suzuki presented by Progressive Insurance.
“Philly was an eventful day,” said Roczen. “We started off dry in the morning and felt pretty good on the track. I was able to qualify fourth, which I was happy with. Then we had a long break before the night show, and that’s when the real rain started. “The heat race was still rideable—the dirt was a little sloshy—but I really enjoyed it and we ended up winning. Going into the main event, it was a nightmare out there. We knew it was going to be a long one after watching the 250 races. “We got a good start and I made a couple of passes. I stayed focused on not making mistakes. It was tough with lappers and only a couple of lines, but coming away with the win after a hard-fought race was an unbelievable feeling. Everything is going well at the moment, and we’re truly enjoying it.”
“Great night in Philadelphia for the team,” said Team Principal Dustin Pipes. “It was stressful with the weather—anything can happen—and we saw that with Colt Nichols going down while in a qualifying position. Ken persevered in the main event and came away with the win. On to Denver.”
“Rough night in Philly,” said Nichols. “I didn’t execute, and anytime you’re on the ground in the mud it makes it really difficult. I’m putting that in the rearview and focusing forward to these last two races.”
Only two rounds of Supercross remain. The 2026 AMA SuperMotocross World Championship series heads to Denver, Colorado, for Round 16. Fans can watch live coverage on Peacock, beginning with Race Day Live at 10:00 a.m. PT, followed by the first gate drop at 4:00 p.m. PT.
