MADERA, Calif. — SuperMotocross returned to Arlington, Texas, on Saturday for Round 7 of the World Championship Series, delivering an actionpacked evening for Pipes Motorsports Group (PMG). The team showcased strong performance throughout the event, highlighted by a milestone Heat 1 finish as Ken Roczen (Progressive Insurance/Cycle Gear ECSTAR Suzuki) and Jason Anderson (Twisted Tea Suzuki presented by Progressive Insurance) secured an impressive 1–2 for PMG.
“I feel like we were riding really well all day,” said Ken Roczen, rider for Progressive Insurance/Cycle Gear ECSTAR Suzuki. “The track was super tricky with big jumps and sketchy whoops, and the dirt looked perfect but was actually very slippery. I came into the weekend feeling sick and my lungs were toast, so I’m pumped with the effort. We executed the start and held strong for as long as possible. A fourth is solid, and there’s still a lot of racing left. If we keep the effort high, we’ll be in a good place.”
Jason Anderson showed strong speed throughout the day but was unable to complete the main event after a crash. Fortunately, he walked away without injury.
“It was a better weekend for my riding overall,” said Jason Anderson, rider for Twisted Tea Suzuki presented by Progressive Insurance. “A tangle in the main caused a fall that ended my race early, which is a bummer. But my riding is improving, and we’ll keep building.”
Colt Nichols fought through adversity after crashes in both his heat race and the main event, ultimately finishing 14th on the night.
“It was a tough day,” said Colt Nichols, rider for Twisted Tea Suzuki presented by Progressive Insurance. “A crash in the heat sent me to the LCQ, and in the main I had a decent start from the outside but got pinched early. I worked up to 11th before hitting neutral in the whoops and going down again. The progress is there—I just need to stay off the ground and improve the starts. I’m excited for Daytona.”
Team Principal Dustin Pipes praised the riders for their resilience and noted that the results don’t fully reflect the strength shown on track.
“It was a decent night in Arlington,” said Dustin Pipes. “I was very happy with our 1–2 finish in the heat. The main event started well with Ken and Jason both in the top five, but Jason’s falls resulted in a DNF, and sickness held Ken back. Colt rode well despite the setbacks. The results don’t fully reflect the effort and progress. We’ll regroup and be ready for Daytona.”
SuperMotocross now heads to Daytona International Speedway in Daytona, Florida, for Round 8 of the World Championship Series. Fans can watch live coverage on Peacock TV, beginning with Race Day Live at 10:00 a.m. PST, followed by the first gate drop at 4:00 p.m. PST.
