Seattle, WA — The sixth round of the 2026 AMA SuperMotocross World Championship delivered a dramatic night of racing on Saturday, February 14, as the Pipes Motorsports Group riders showcased resilience on one of the season’s most demanding tracks.
Ken Roczen appeared strong and confident aboard his #94 Progressive Insurance/Cycle Gear ECSTAR Suzuki, carrying momentum throughout the day with a heat‑race victory and a commanding presence in the main event. Roczen battled at the front and looked poised for a podium finish until a late‑race incident pushed him outside of contention. He ultimately secured 10th place but remains well within reach of the championship fight—only 11 points back.
“Overall we had a pretty dang good day, honestly,” said Ken Roczen. “This is always a crazy venue to go to just because the track gets so gnarly. We had a really good heat race going and won that one. I had first gate pick for the main, and I got off to a decent start. Honestly, [I] was putting on a strong charge in the middle of the race. Cooper, Eli and I were all bunched up and riding really well. The track did get deteriorated really quickly, so I had a couple of bad laps there towards the end. I made a mistake and couldn’t double before the whoop section, and it just really cost me. It allowed Hunter to get way too close to me, and he pulled a move. He came over and apologized, and I have really no hard feelings towards it all. I think it was a little bit of a brain fart, and it was just unfortunate; with situations like that we pulled the shorter end of the stick until I got going again, and then the main was over. So we ended up with not the greatest result, but we are only 11 points down. Overall [I] rode well all day, and I had a really good main going, so I really can’t be too mad. We are going into Arlington next weekend to try this again.”
Pipes Motorsports Group teammates Jason Anderson and Colt Nichols also demonstrated determination despite early setbacks. A first‑turn crash in their heat race affected both riders; Nichols quickly remounted and charged to a sixth‑place finish, while Anderson was forced to contest—and win—the Last Chance Qualifier to advance. In the main event, Anderson secured 12th aboard his #21 Twisted Tea Suzuki presented by Progressive Insurance, with Nichols close behind in 13th on his #45 machine.
“My weekend was pretty tough,” said Jason Anderson. “Ended up 12th; it was just a little bit of a struggle. I was hovering right around the 10th–12th area, so hopefully next weekend we can be better.”
“It was an interesting day, to say the least,” said Colt Nichols. “Practice was terrible, to be honest, but I turned it around a bit for the night show. Got into a little deal on the first start in the heat and had to fight my way back into 7th in the heat. I felt like I rode really well in the main event. I got off to a little better start, but it still wasn’t great. Then I fought around trying to get by some guys and ended up in 13th place. Little bit better result for me. A lot of work to do still. Will go back home and go to work. I am excited for my hometown race next weekend.”
“Tough weekend in Seattle after fighting for a win early in the main event,” said Team Principal Dustin Pipes. “Even with everything that transpired, we are still only 11 points out of the championship lead. Time to get back to work and regroup in Dallas next weekend.”
The 2026 AMA SuperMotocross World Championship now heads to AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas, for Round 7 of the Supercross season. Fans can watch all the action live on Peacock TV, beginning with Race Day Live at 10:00 AM PST, followed by the first gate drop at 4:00 PM PST.
