Nichols okay, DNF’s moto 2, Chisholm 18th overall at Budds Creek

Ken Roczen is back! The #94 Progressive Insurance ECSTAR Suzuki rider made his long-awaited return to racing this past Saturday, August 10th, 2024, at Unadilla MX in New Berlin, New York. Adding to the excitement, Pipes Motorsports Group teammate Colt Nichols debuted on the Twisted Tea H.E.P. Suzuki RM-Z 450. You could see the excitement from fans as they lined up along the paddock all day. 

Weather threatened to be a factor on Raceday after heavy rain on Friday forced press conferences to be canceled. Fortunately, on Saturday, the sun came out, and fans filled the grassy hillsides of Unadilla MX for the 9th round of the 2024 AMA Pro Motocross Championship. 

#45 Colt Nichols

Debuting for the first time, the #45 Colt Nichols made his first appearance at the races on his Twisted Tea H.E.P. Suzuki. It was a solid round with flashes of what is to come. He finished 17th overall, with his best result in the second moto in 14th place. 

#11 Kyle Chisholm

Twisted Tea H.E.P. Suzuki rider #11 Kyle Chisholm also had a commendable day, finishing just inside the top 20 with 19th overall.

The 2024 AMA Pro Motocross Championship finishes this Saturday, August 24th, in Crawfordsville, Indiana. The final round will see Ken Roczen hop down to the 250cc class on an RM-Z 250 Suzuki. On what will be an exciting day, you can expect the cameras to be on the #94 Progressive Insurance ECSTAR Suzuki rider all day long. Starting with Race Day Live at 7:00 AM PST, followed by the main events at 10:00 AM PST. You can catch all the action live on Peacock TV.
