Sand Surfing at The Wick

Round 5 of the Pro Motocross Outdoor Nationals featured the sandiest track of the series. Located in Southwick, Massachusetts, The Wick is just two hours away from Boston, making this race very close to home for Twisted Tea H.E.P. Suzuki’s team partner, Twisted Tea, part of the Boston Beer Company. Fans with Twisted Teas in their hands lined up along the fence lines of The Wick. #12 Shane McElrath had his best race in the second moto, finishing 14th, and teammate #11 Kyle Chisholm was right behind him, finishing 15th in moto two.

The Twisted Tea H.E.P. Suzuki team faced challenges in the first moto, with #11 Kyle Chisholm finishing 21st and #12 Shane McElrath finishing 27th. Despite these struggles, they turned things around in the second moto, achieving their best results of the day. Team manager Larry Brooks, suspension tech Matt Andruk, and mechanics Andrew Livingston and Alex Faith worked together to support the riders throughout the event. McElrath finished with a 27-14 for 18th overall, and Chisholm finished 21-15 for 19th overall.

The series now heads to Redbud in Buchanan, Michigan, for the 6th round of the Pro Motocross Outdoor Nationals. Two days after the 4th of July, the event will feature patriotic splashes of red, white, and blue across the paddock.
