Three Pro Motocross Rounds Down

Twisted H.E.P. Suzuki racing team was in Lakewood, Colorado, this past Saturday for the third round of the 2024 Pro Motocross Outdoor Nationals. Once again, the fans filled the hillsides for another round of racing. #12 Shane McElrath, aboard his Suzuki RM-Z 450cc, had two great jumps off the gate in the mains. He swooped around the first turn, down the inside into turn two, starting inside the top ten. His best result came in the second race with a 16th-place finish.

“A little bit better day today,” said #12 Shane McElrath. “We made some positive changes to the bike. I’m still struggling with the speed and getting comfortable to go the pace. So, it was another rough day; we were working and trying to figure things out. We are back to work this week. We are going to keep making progress.

Despite the two impressive starts in round three, Shane McElrath still struggled. His overall results don’t mirror what he’s capable of, as he went 22-16 in two main events for 18th overall.

#11 Kyle Chisholm

“I struggled a bit all day,” said #11 Kyle Chisholm. “But my bike was good for me. We played with gearing a bit and got the bike dialed in. It felt good. It just comes down to I tried my best, but I didn’t do my best. I’m bummed on that. I will take the positives and learn from the negatives. We will get back to work this week and show up next week to try it again.”

It is not quite where Kyle Chisholm or the team expects to finish; he went 23-18 in two main events for the 20th overall.

This Father’s Day weekend, the series heads east to the iconic High Point Raceway in Mount Morris, Pennsylvania. It’s the track’s 47th year hosting an outdoor national. Racing will begin at 10:00 a.m. PST, with Race Day Live starting at 7:00 a.m. PST. All the coverage will be live on PeacockTV.
