The 16th round of the 2024 Monster Energy AMA Supercross series kicked off at Mile High Stadium in Denver, Colorado. It was an exciting round for the fans, from fan fest to the final race. Twisted Tea H.E. P. Suzuki rider #12 Shane McElrath led the team with a commendable effort, running in 11th until the main event’s final moments, losing seven positions after a crash.
Ken Roczen was still out with an injury, but Pipes Motorsports Group ensured fans still came away with something special. One by one, fans came under the Progressive Insurance ECSTAR Suzuki canopy to get an up close and personal feel for Ken Roczen‘s RM-Z450, checking out his Renthal handlebars and posing on his Suzuki RM-Z450 for a picture.
Twisted Tea H.E.P. Suzuki rider #12 Shane McElrath, despite finishing 18th, showcased his unwavering spirit throughout the day. A crash in the last lap of the main event proved costly, as he lost 7 positions before regaining his momentum. In his heat race, Shane made an impressive start, running up front and finishing in 5th place. He carried this momentum into the main event, running as high as 8th early on. Despite the setback, he battled in the top ten, demonstrating remarkable consistency before tipping over on the last lap. His performance is a testament to his resilience, leaving many positives to take away as we head into the final round this Saturday.
Twisted Tea H.E.P. Suzuki rider, #11 Kyle Chisholm, is determined to bounce back in the final round. The veteran, despite battling some minor injuries that come at the end of a full supercross season, continues to push through. Unfortunately, he did not make the main event, missing the final transfer position. It was a disappointing result, but we can expect Chisholm to redeem himself this Saturday, showing his true grit and determination.
