Roczen 2nd overall at the Indy Triple Crown

The second Triple Crown of the year is in the books after the 10th Round of the Monster Energy AMA Supercross series at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, Indiana. Only the top 18 qualified into the three main event format out of the afternoon qualifying events. The remaining field raced in the last-chance qualifiers for the final four gate positions.

#94 Ken Roczen

Last year in Indy, Ken Roczen delivered a historic start-to-finish win at the Lucas Oil Stadium. The Progressive Insurance Ecstar Suzuki team won its first overall and Suzuki added its first supercross win in quite some time. It was an intense and exciting affair that Roczen nearly repeated last Saturday. Ken jumped out to great starts in his first & third race, grabbing the holeshot both times. Even when he didn’t get the best start, he quickly worked towards the front of the pack in the second main. Going toe-to-toe with anyone who contended for the lead, Ken went 2-2-3 for 2nd overall.

#12 Shane McElrath

Twisted Tea HEP Suzuki riders #11 Kyle Chisholm and #12 Shane McElrath had commendable performances in the 10th Round. Shane McElrath qualified straight into the top 18. He got good starts and rode consistently, going 13-12-11 for 12th overall. Adding another solid result for McElrath, the effort week to week shows. Kyle Chisholm missed the top 18 by less than a tenth of a second. The veteran got a great start in the LCQ, locking in first place and putting on a large gap from second. Kyle won the LCQ and quickly got ready for the main events. He showed his fitness and athleticism, going 14-13-14 for 13th place overall.

As the series moves to the Pacific Northwest for the 11th Round at Lumen Field in Seattle, fans can expect another thrilling round of racing. The event promises to light up downtown Seattle and will be broadcast live on Peacock TV, with the first gate dropping at 5:00 pm PST.
